(Quebec City, September 1, 2009)—The CEO of Maheu&Maheu Inc. would like to assure its valued customers and the residents of Quebec City that it was in no way involved in the events of last weekend that caused the death of dozens of birds in Quebec City’s Limoilou neighborhood.

“The firm Maheu Extermination, the source of the problem, has no relationship to Maheu&Maheu, the pest management company I run and which has been in existence for over 75 years,” stressed Michel Maheu, the company’s CEO.

“At Maheu&Maheu, we always use state-of-the-art techniques and follow precise protocols that are reliable and environmentally friendly. We systematically seek nonchemical solutions such as heat treatment or the use of nematodes or proven predators. We also choose active ingredients that have a low environmental impact, such as insecticidal soap, diatomaceous earth, and boric acid,” explained Michel Maheu.

Founded in Quebec City in 1933, Maheu & Maheu is a Quebec company specializing in pest management. It is a member of Association Québécoise de Gestion Parasitaire (AQGP), the Canadian Pest Management Association (CPMA), and the National Pest Management Association (N.P.M.A.). It employs a team of qualified technicians and biologists who work in a broad variety of areas, including the agricultural, agrifood, restaurant, food distribution, and residential sectors, among others. The company has offices in Quebec, Ontario, and New Brunswick.
